LoNG long winding daY
when i meant winding... it really means so...........
Ever been to the KLCC Convention centre? Yes No? for first timer....DON"T EVER USE THE LINK TUNNEL!!! Today went to KLCC cuz class ended like at 10 am... didn't wanna go home yet so thought go merayau-rayau - ended up in KLCC. then when i was in the LRT there's this guy on the phonE who saiD he's meeting dunno who at PC Fair in KLCC so i was like oOOoooooo what a coincidence (pardon me...my unawareness of such big events is due to lack of newspaper reading and their lack of publicity over multiple media).
Reaching there
As soon as i came out from the LRT tunnel to Suria KLCC.... i started to eye the crowd (it's 10.45 am for goodness sake and the whole place is packed) for potential PC Fair-goers. It was not that difficult to spot actually since like 80% of the people who was in the LRT with me before that walked the same route with a clear destination in mind. Added with my excellent instinct with directions, i reached the tunnel link to KLCC Convention Centre - before the Tower Records there. So i was kinda excited to have found the correct route so i happily follow the crowd. Then the horror begins..........
Tunnel of Eternity
Firstly, there was this LONG tunnel with lotsa advertisement wallpapers on both sides...dah la the size so big... so colourful.... it's ALL THE WAY . So fine... walk walk adi (it felt like the tunnel of eternity) at last i reach wat looks like the end of the tunnel; went into another section where there's an escalator up to the Ground floor paralel to the KLCC Park. I presumed then that i've entered the Convention Centre already and thought to myself, "ah, that was convenient." Reached the CC? Yes, true. FREAKING HELL I WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE ENTRANCE! At first i saw the sign board with funny looking graphics (took me a while to apprehend it finally) that wrote LEvel 3 and Hall 1 to 5. But I see the door to the hall on the Ground floor adi! But everybody seems to be walking fast in the same route and there's the uptight looking security people standing outside the door so i don't think we're supposed to enter there also. Okay fine... this door cannot go in... go further front to another entrance rite? but noOooooo they had to force us to walk (the lift was freaking slow and the escalator hadn't even start operating yet) all the way to LEVEL 3. By the time I reached Hall 1 i lost all my mood to check out the PC Fair liaoz.
*iklan kejap* do you know that a can of 100 Plus at the so-called "cafe" there costs RM 6.50? freaking piranhas man... sucking on we customers' blood *iklan berakhir*
PIKOM PC Fair - Phase 1
Okay so you're at a PC Fair rite.... the first thing you expect to see is computer related stuff rite? BRIGHT RED Fujitsu Notebook....absolutely.... Sony mp3 players... reasonable....Samsung with half naked girls shaking on a platform... WTF!!!!???!!! I was too stunned to fish my Palm out and capture evidence so i just like take a few glance and walk away (for the fear of people mistaking me for oogling at 'em-shaking-ones). By the way half naked means bikini top(a shiny one) and mini(2)skirt. All shock shaken off... i proceeded to roam the hall. and THERE she was.... looking back at me lusciously (the lips) in black and white. SHE was Amber Chia. I am telling you she just won't let me (and the rest of Malaysia) go ..... She appears in every other commercial products man.... each and every one of its kind. Women's napkin...watch...RICE...skincare...etc... and now computers?? for FTec to be exact. i won't be surprised if she's like the ambassador for SPritZeR next. ... or Hansplast for that matter.
PIKOM PC Fair - Phase 2
Remember Gound FLoor? Oh yes.. . i have to walk ALL THE WAY DOWN to where i came from. THere's no escaping from it in case you're tired or drowsy or SHOCKED, you have to go through all blardy 5 halls even if you faint right there at Hall 2 (didn't attempt it tho). Now LEvel 3 was Hall 1 so the Ground Floor was where Hall 2 to 5 was situated. Just a little description of what it was like ... the place is HUGE! That and you put hundreds of other stalls selling similar stuff side by side... with the noise pollution some more... i felt like i was in a 'pasar malam' - which i felt to a certain extend it was a Pasar PC. In case you're wondering, Ground Floor has its share of 'em-shaking-ones too, except that they don't shake ler... they just wear tight fitting sleeveless or tube top with miniskirt and walking around the place with a big sign promoting their respective companies. Holy cow..... watever happened to just plain..... flyers.
PIKOM PC Fair - Epilogue
So by the time i reached Hall 4... i was ready to split liaoz... so i asked one of the promoter where can i go out. Then he said to go out where i came from. I walked all the way from Hall 4 there to one of the doors near Hall 2 only to be stopped by an uptight b**** who screwed me for trying to use that door to go out. she said i have to exit at Hall 5 only... that was freaking far from where i was at Hall 2 okay. Imagine KLCC- from Rotiboy to Lecka-lecka (that's like one end to the other la) with hundreds of obstable in between(i.e. promoters, buyers, some merely slug around and objects).... this was when my self-manoeuvering skill was put to a good use - with my hands crossed over my chest for self-protection too. Oh the horror of the crowd. Finally, of course, I went through the Tunnel of Eternity once again.

p/s: to compensate myself on such a traumatising experience, i went to Chocz and splurge on chocolates *YUMMY*
